Dear Valued Members,  

Looking back on the past quarter, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on our recent activities and express my heartfelt gratitude to our members, employees, and community partners. Your steadfast support and trust empower us to continuously improve and adapt at ValleyStar Credit Union. It’s your engagement that drives our mission to provide exceptional financial services and strengthen our community.

I am thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our Scan Me, Win Me Campaign, culminating in a moment of excitement at the Martinsville Speedway, where we awarded a brand new 2024 Toyota Camry to our lucky winner, Gail Jones. Congratulations, Gail! It was wonderful to see the joy this initiative brought to our members, and we look forward to more engaging campaigns in the future.

Our commitment to the community has been demonstrated through our recent participation in two impactful initiatives. After a planned employee event was canceled due to inclement weather, we chose to “pay it forward” by collaborating with Jerry’s Pizza in Martinsville. This effort not only supported a local business but also provided an opportunity for community members to enjoy a meal. Such acts of kindness reinforce our dedication to uplifting those around us.

Additionally, in partnership with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, we mobilized to collect supplies for hurricane relief efforts in Western North Carolina. On October 3, our team joined forces with local law enforcement to gather essential items for those impacted by recent storms. This initiative exemplifies our belief in the importance of coming together during challenging times, and I am proud of the positive impact we continue to make in our communities.

As we navigate the ever-changing landscape of financial services, we remain committed to innovation and sustainability. Our enhanced digital banking capabilities are designed to ensure that you have convenient and secure access to your finances, and our dedicated team is always here to provide exceptional service.

**1% cash back on the financed amount (up to $300) for refinanced auto, motorcycle, boat or RV loans. An example would be, $150 cashback for a $15,000 refinanced auto loan or $300 cashback for a $40,000 refinanced auto loan. New loans or current ValleyStar loans do not qualify. Funds will be deposited into the member’s main share account on the last business day 90 days after the loan closing date. There must be a balance on the loan at the 90-day mark in order to receive the cashback. The member must also not be delinquent on the loan at the 90-day mark in order to receive the cashback. Not all who apply will qualify. Loans are subject to collateral and credit qualifications. Eligibility and membership are required. Annual Percentage Rate (APR). All rates are subject to credit score and credit approval. Rates are subject to change without notice. Purchase money excluded, must quality under credit union underwriting criteria, the vehicle must be used as collateral for the loan.

Early availability of direct deposits is dependent on the timing of your payor’s payment instructions and/or fraud prevention overlays. We do not guarantee early availability of any direct deposits, and eligibility of a direct deposit for early availability may change between pay periods. Any direct deposit not posted early will be made available according to our Funds Availability schedule. We reserve the right to discontinue the service at our sole discretion and without notice.

******A skip-a-payment is a modification to your current loan. Interest will continue to accrue on unpaid balances, and regular payments will start the next month. The loan contract will be extended to accommodate the skipped payment. Mortgages, home equity loans, credit cards, single-pay loans/day notes and commercial loans do not qualify for the ValleyStar Skip-A-Pay. Members are allowed up to two skip-a-payment per loan per rolling calendar year. The skipped payments must be at least six months apart. All loans must be current and in good standing when the request is processed.  A $35.00 fee applies to skip a payment.
